Definition
-
The human Cell Line Activation Test is a cell-based assay that identifies if a substance is a skin sensitizing agent without the need for animal testing. The skin sensitizers are identified by examining changes in the expression of cell surface markers (e.g.,CD54 and CD86) implicated in dendritic cell activation.
