- Use for those plants that typically creep and grow close to the ground and are used for soil conservation or as ornamentals on banks, hills and riparian areas; For the lower vegetation strata, such as in a forest, in which low growing shrubs and herbaceous plants grow close to the ground and provide a protective vegetative cover for the soil or animals USE ground vegetation; For the percentage of the ground covered by the natural spread of the foliage of plants USE vegetation cover.
