A naturally occurring subacute spongiform encephalopathy in commercially ranch-reared mink (Mustela vision). It is characterized neuropathologically by spongiform changes in the neuropil, intracytoplasmic neuronal vacuolation and astrocytic hypertrophy and hyperplasia.
