Definición
-
A malady in cattle that commonly occurs during late fall and winter grazing of endophyte infected tall fescue. Symptoms range from hind quarter tenderness (slow walk with limp) to gangrene and tissue death of tail, ear, and feet. In extreme cases a tail or hoof may be lost. Constriction of blood vessels at the extremities limits blood flow to them and causes tissue death.
